Jamie Jaubert, MA, LPC-S is passionate about providing a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which her clients can achieve their goals. She focuses on each client’s unique strengths, values and experience in order to develop an individualized treatment plan and promote meaningful change. Jamie’s devotion to her work is evident to her clients. Her creativity and unwavering energy are assets to the therapeutic process. Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. Jamie began her career as an elementary school teacher. She taught in both a regular education classroom and self-contained classroom. She has experience as an elementary and middle school counselor, parent educator and a Special Education Counselor. Jamie has worked with individuals, couples and families in a private practice outpatient setting since 2011.
Jamie specializes in individual counseling with adolescents and adults and has notable experience in couples and family counseling. She has extensive training in various modalities of treatment, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and the Gottman method. Jamie is a certified Wellness & Nutrition Consultant and believes in the importance of the mind-body connection. Jamie is highly skilled in treating mood and anxiety disorders including depression and bipolar disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety Disorder. She is also experienced in treating stress and other symptoms caused by adjustments to major life changes such as job loss or change, marriage, birth of children, divorce, retirement, launching children and grief.
Jamie also has a passion for providing counseling services to couples experiencing challenges related to ineffective communication and unhealthy boundaries. Additionally, Jamie has counseled many professionals working through various concerns such as hostile work environments, bullies in the workplace and finding a satisfying work-life balance. She provides numerous therapeutic skills designed to assist each client learn to communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, grow a positive and supportive social network and develop a healthy self-esteem.
