Amber Wersonske is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about taking a holistic approach to therapy to help adults, youth and their families succeed. Since receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Baylor University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Amber has been leveraging a variety of therapeutic approaches to serve youth in the juvenile justice system, as well as adults with traumatic brain injuries.
With her experience treating clients with complex trauma including sexual abuse, human trafficking, anxiety, depression, and problematic behaviors, Amber is ready to work with you and your family to understand not only how trauma impacts the mind, but the body as well. Incorporating approaches like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and art techniques, Amber develops an individualized treatment plan for each client that is as unique as they are. Amber is experienced in working with individuals and families from all walks of life and treats each client with dignity and respect.
Amber enjoys the journey of watching clients gain insights and take control of their thoughts and behaviors as they work towards their goals. She looks forward to bringing her passion for working with teens, adults, and families to the Mindful Journey community.
