Kaycie McGuire, M.S. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes we all possess significant inner strength and the capacity to heal. Drawing on 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, Kaycie operates from a compassionate perspective that recognizes life challenges as opportunities for growth. She aims to empower individuals with personalized, effective coping strategies and a strong therapeutic relationship to support long-term wellness.
Centered around the client’s individual needs and strengths, Kaycie works from an integrative, down-to-earth, and nurturing style. Her approaches draw from several models including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused and Strength-Based approaches. Along with these, Kaycie values the importance of incorporating creative treatment methods as a means to build skills and process emotion more effectively. Kaycie holds a certification in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Interventions) and uses these principles to provide effective support and treatments for children and their caregivers, instilling skills and confidence in parents. Through an individualized treatment plan, Kaycie strives to provide her clients with increased self-awareness and the tools to promote lasting and transformative change.
Kaycie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has 24 years of experience as a mental health therapist treating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, social and emotional learning and development, ADHD, challenges related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, and providing parenting support. This extensive background has allowed for deep experience working with individuals in crisis, parents navigating challenges, and individuals and families facing life’s transitions.
